Sadhana Diwas

On the auspicious occasion of Eknathji's Sadhana Diwas, our vidyalaya organised a soulful Sundarkand Path and Mahayajna on 19th November, 2023. The event was a beautiful culmination of devotion, spirituality and community participation. The Sundarkand, a chapter from the ancient Indian epic Ramayana and Hanuman Path was recited by five Pandits. Students along with their parents were invited and they together partake in this spiritual event. It was an atmosphere of tranquility and devotion. Around 140 members took part in this grand occasion. After reciting the verses from Sundarkand and Hanuman Path. Chandana Didi explained the profound importance of the day and shared how this event has served as an opportunity for the children to connect with rich spiritual traditions. 21 Havan Kundas were made and everyone took part in the ceremony actively. The special day ended with Kheer distribution and the event left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of all participants.

Divyanga Krida Utsav

To mark the completion of 25 years, our vidyalaya celebrated Divyanga Krida Utsav on 17th November 2023. It was a wonderful day as the students of our vidyalaya got an opportunity to spend invaluable time with the special children of Mrinaljyoti School. 35 students and 7 teachers were invited to our school. They were grandly welcomed by the school band and were escorted by class 9 students and teachers. Our Principal Smt. Meghana Kakoty Didi herself went to their school and came along with them. Sri. Bhupen Goswami Sir, HOP AGBP NEEPCO Bokuloni was the chief guest. Smt. Amiya Pathak Borpujari, Principal Mrinaljyoti School was the guest of honour. The event took an opening with Mangalacharan and Pushpanjali by the honoured guests, principal, teachers and students of Mrinaljyoti Rehabilitation centre. The chief guest and the principal in their speeches encouraged the students to participate enthusiastically in the one day sports festival. A group of specially abled children even danced and proved that they are no less than others. Sri. Bhupen Goswami Sir declared the opening of the the sports day and the children took part in all the sports activities very energetically and left everyone thrilled to see their excitement. Gifts were distributed to them and teachers were honoured with appreciation letter and fulam gamusa. The students of Mrinaljyoti school performed a amazing mime on saving trees. It was heartwarming to see our children helping, enjoying and playing with them with open heart. They built a strong bond of friendship with them and the whole day experience made them realise that they too are a part of the main strata of the society.

Chidren's Day

A day to mark the birth anniversary of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and the most special occasion for the children was celebrated in a splendid way in the school on 14th November, 2023. A Magic show was organized for the students of classes Nursery to VI. The magician Sri Anwar Hussain, who received several awards performed different magic tricks and left the students astonished and amazed. The children enjoyed, cheered and laughed a lot. Students of classes VII to X joined the captivating quest to discover what it means to be truly human through the award winning movie 'Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio'. They enjoyed the animated movie and its memorable scenes and characters. They were provided with light refreshments and a token of love from teachers. It was a fun-filled day for both students and teachers.

Puppetry Workshop


A puppetry workshop was conducted for the teachers in the school campus on 19th October, 2023. Sri. Dipen Khanikar Sir, Cluster Resource Centre Coordinator of our area was the resource person for the workshop. He started with a brief history and significance of puppetry in a class room. He had shown examples of different types of puppets like hand puppet, shadow puppet and string puppet etc.  The teachers also made a variety of puppets according to the instructions given by him. The workshop was very valuable for the teachers as it gave them innovative, creative and fun way of teaching the students.
