Lachit Divas, 25th November 2019

Lachit Divas was enthusiastically celebrated in both Primary and Secondary Assemblies. Sushri Mowsumi Gogoi and Smt. Gita Sarma delivered their speeches on the significance of the day in Secondary and Primary Assemblies respectively. They could encourage the young generation with the inspiring incidences from the life of Lachit Borphukan.





Educational Tour to Local Farm, 20th November 2019

Selected students from our Vidyalaya were taken to a nearby farm on 20th November 2019. They talked with the farm owner and collected valuable information about farming. Smt. Gita Sarma accompanied the students to the farm of Sri Kanthi Hazarika, a farm enthusiast and entrepreneur par excellence to collect necessary information for a report. Sri Hazarika had a candid and friendly interaction with the students.


Educational Tour to Mrinal Jyoti Rehabilitation Centre-19th November 2019


Date: 19th Nov 2019
11 Selected students of classes VII and VIII along with the Principal and three other teachers from the Vidyalaya visited the Mrinal Jyoti Rehabilitation Centre, Duliajan. Through the visit the students were expected to learn about the learning situations of the differently able children, the difficulties they face, the talent they have, the contribution they make, the activities they love to do, the struggle they go through every day and prepare a report about them. All the students interacted with children with various disabilities. The students of Rehabilitation Centre also asked various questions in sign language, which was interpreted by the dedicated teachers of the Centre. The tour, on the whole, was an eye opening experience to the visiting students and teachers of our school.





Sadhana Divas Celebration, 19th November 2019

The Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Bokuloni celebrated the 105th Birth Anniversary of the Man of Steel Eknath Ranade as Sadhana Divas in both Senior and Junior Assemblies. Smt. Himashree Devi and Sri Saumitra Das spoke on the significance of the day in Junior and Senior Assemblies respectively highlighting the organizing skills and dedicated feats of the master organizer. A short biopic on Eknathji's life and feats was shown in both the assemblies.

In the Kendra Varga held in the evening that day teachers performed  yoga and had a discussion on 'Eknathji: My Source of Inspiration'. Their sharing of experience about how the life of Eknathji inspired them in their life was a true tribute to the Man with Capital 'M'. The teachers also lent their voice to a song in tribute to Eknathji. 





Educational Tour to Dibru Saikhowa National Park, 17th November 2019

The students of classes IX and X along with the staff of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Bokuloni visited the Dibru Saikhowa National Park on 17th November 2019 and carried out an environmental study there. During the trip they had a candid interaction with Conservationist Sri Sanjay Das who gave valuable information to the students regarding the bond between human and nature and other  areas related to the environment. 
 


Video Conference on Hospitality Industry, 16th November 2019

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Bokuloni took part in a Video Conference Session under the auspices of Aseem Foundation, Pune on 16th November 2019. 12 other schools also participated in the session. Sri Sachin Joshi, Sri Sachin Kshirsagar and Sri Nilesh Oak with their long experience in the hospitality industry addressed in the session. 



Celebrating Children's Day 2019


Celebrated Children's Day on 14th Nov 2019
Eco-friendly decoration of the school with colourful kites instead of balloons, nutritious tiffin cooked by the teachers for the students and various indoor and outdoor games for all the classes among other activities marked the daylong celebration of Children's Day on 14th November 2019 at VKV (NEEPCO) Bokuloni.  

Formal celebration was held in both senior and junior assemblies delightfully. The teachers in both the assemblies commanded, said the prayer, took the pledge, read the news and sang the National Anthem. Smt. Mowsumi Gogoi and Smt. Banashree Baruah spoke on the significance of the day in Senior and Junior Assemblies respectively inspiring the children to strive for a noble life.  A Poem Recitation Competition was held among the students of classes IV and V after the morning assembly.

After the assembly children enjoyed themselves by taking part in various sports and games. The sporting events were: In & Out (KG), Music Chair (KG), 20 Metre Sprint (KG & I), Hopping Race (I), Spoon & Marble Race (II & III), 50 Metre Sprint (II & III), Frog Jump (II & III), Needle & Thread Race (IV & V), Chess (VI & VII), Long Jump (VI to X), Football (Boys, Girls, House wise) and Volleyball (Boys-House wise).
