Gita Jayanti

To commemorate the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and to honor the life of Ma Sarada, our vidyalaya celebrated collaboratively Gita Jayanti and Ma Sarada Jayanti on 23rd December. During the morning assembly, Chandana didi’s speech and students' chanting of Gita shlokas started the day with a vibrant spirituality. Class-wise Gita chanting competition was conducted. At 2:00 pm, Parents of classes IV and V were invited. They were welcomed with a Tilakam and Arti. Srivastav Sir’s valuable speech and video on Bhagavad Gita’s teachings added a depth to the celebration. Students chanted Karmayoga Shlokas and performed Bhajans. Bhagavad Gita Board guided by Jyotsna Didi was inaugurated that day. The parent’s involvement in group discussion and recreation through enjoyable activities made the program valuable. At the end periodic test notebooks of the students were distributed to the parents.

Mathematics Model Exhibition

National Mathematics Day was celebrated in VKV (NEEPCO) BOKULONI with a mathematics model exhibition by classes VII and VIII on 22/12/2023. The students showcased their creativity and understanding of the mathematical concepts. Nearby 5 schools( Chi Chia MV School, Jatiya Vidyalaya Bokuloni, Ekolavya Junior College, Chi Chia Balika Vidyalaya, Chi Chia LP School) visited the exhibition to encourage mutual learning experience. Around 200 students from other schools along with our 400 students attended the programme and it was a rewarding experience for both the participants as well as the visitors. All the teachers appreciated their dedicated efforts. The interest and enthusiasm of the students made the program a great success.



Educational Tour to Merbil


One day educational trip was organized by our vidyalaya with classes II to V on
 2nd December 2023 with all teaching and non- teaching staff. Two buses were fully occupied by the students accompanied by all the teachers. We started our journey at 8:00 am with full enthusiasm. Our destination was Sasoni Merbil Eco-tourism project. It is an important tourist destination of Assam. It is located at Sasoni under Naharkatia revenue circle of Dibrugarh District.

Merbil is an island and a remarkable biodiversity hot spot. We took our students with the objectives of knowing the biodiversity of that place and know more about the importance of ecosystem.

Students were guided by Sri. Monimanik Gogoi Sir (Founder president of Sasoni Merbil Eco-tourism project) with the historical background and availability of flora and fauna in that project. He also appealed  our students and all the members to protect and love environment. He also took us to a short tracking inside the forest and made us familiar with different medicinal plants and herbs. 

We got the opportunity of bird watching in the nearby wetland with majestic Asian fauna. We sighted Purple Swamp-hen , Grey-headed Swamp-hen, cattle egret, Black Drongo, Common Darter hi, It is the home for migratory birds in winter season and habitat for variety of aquatic birds. The students enjoyed the sights of various birds and animals during the tour. We were mesmerized with the scenic beauty of Sasoni Merbil. 

Overall, It was a new, interesting and informative experience for all of us.  We all had a safe and enjoyable journey with lots of information.  The students played, shared their tiffins and enjoyed playful moments creating memories for life.

Workshop on Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act

Our school organized a workshop on protection of children from sexual offense with an aim of raising awareness and educating the students about the prevalence and impact of sexual abuse . It was conducted by the Dibrugarh Bar Association. Smt. Rina Moni Borah, Advocate of Bar Association, Dibrugarh was the resource person. Sri. Abhijeet Saikia, Secretary of District Legal Office was the chief guest who lead the programme foraward. It was a community outreach programme involving the students of school as well as nearby school, teachers and community members . The resource person Smt. Rina Moni Borah provided information on recognizing signs of abuse and preventive measures. She discussed about the POCSO Act and different laws, rules and regulations related to the topic. Thus, the workshop was indeed a wonderful initiative to raise awareness and instill in the minds of the young children to create a safe and more secure environment for all children in our country.

Lachit Diwas

Commemorating the legendary warrior our school observed Lachit Diwas on 24/11/2023  . It started with a small speech highlighting the significance of the day. A song dedicated to Bir Lachit Borphukan's dedication and courageousness was soulfully presented byRanjit Sir. After that a video was displayed showcasing the valourous deeds of Lachit Borphukan in the historical event of Saraighat battle. The event featured an awareness among all the students about Bir Lachit's immense contribution for the sake of his country.
