Habitat Restoration

On January 1, 2024, our Vidyalaya marked the celebration of Samarth Bharat Parva with a unique initiative focused on habitat restoration – "Join River Rangers" clubbed with VKV Dhemaji and VKV Majuli at same time in different locations. The event took place at the bank of Buridihing river near Namphake with 14 students as 'River Rangers'. It aimed to promote environmental consciousness and community engagement in preserving our natural resources through - Join River Ranges" Campaign.

The campaign, aptly named "Join River Rangers," encouraged participants to actively contribute to the protection of river habitats. Volunteers formed groups and collaborated on strategies to ensure the long-term well-being of our water resources. We cleaned the river bank specially picnic spots and tried to spread awareness about water pollution due to human activities. Our students also interacted with people coming for picnic and appealed them to clean the river bank before leaving.
