A funfilled coding workshop was organized at our Vidyalaya on 8th February 2024 for Class VI students by Alankrita Saikia Baruah Didi. She taught them how to write logic for creating small games. The students showcased their IT skills by creating small online games on Scratch. The students have been learning about code, algorithms, bug, debug, and if-else statements from the last 2 months and on the day of the workshop they were completely engaged and exhibited their interest and talents that far exceeded our expectations. Throughout the workshop they were not only entertained but also educated and could easily grasp complex concepts easily. We all hope for a great future for all our budding IT enthusiasts.

Utsarga Samaroh & Abhibhabak Puja
Our vidyalaya organised Matri/Abhibhabak Puja and Utsarga Samaroh on 6th January 2024. This tradition of our Vidyalaya helps strengthen the bond between parents and children and reminds them the importance of parents in their lives. The highlight of the day is bidding farewell to class X students with heartfelt emotions.
The event commenced at 8:00 AM with Srivastav sir explaining the significance of the day, followed by the Principal, Smt. Meghna Kakoty Didi and Sanjay Srivastav Sir explaining Utsarga shlokas in English and Hindi, respectively. Class 10 students then lit diyas in the rangoli of the India map.
The Matri/Abhibhabak Puja began with students washing their parents' feet and welcoming them with tilakam. Ganesh Puja and Hawan followed, along with special prayers for the parents. The atmosphere was filled with emotion throughout the program.
The event concluded with everyone enjoying light refreshments. It was a touching and memorable day for all involved.
Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024
On January 29th, students from classes VI to IX participated in the Pariksha Pe Charcha programme at the NRC hall. The event aimed to release exam stress among students. Prime Minister Modi delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of stress-free exams. Talented students from different schools showcased various models, symbolizing a miniature progressive India. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also addressed the audience. Modi interacted with students from different regions of India, answering their questions and exemplified innovative teaching methods and words of inspiration. Our students attentively listened to the entire programme and were benefitted from the insights shared by the speakers.
75th Republic Day
Our Vidyalaya celebrated the 75th Republic Day with great pomp and show. The day started at 7:30 am with the hoisting of the National Flag and singing of the National Anthem. Everyone recited the Swadesh Mantra together. The principal delivered a speech reminding about our duties towards our country. Students performed a patriotic song, followed by sweets distribution to students, parents, and teachers. After which, everyone went to NEEPCO Office. There, after flag hoisting and the national anthem, the Head of the Project, Shri Opang Ering Sir addressed everyone. Our students presented a cultural program including group song, an alakhya on Nari Shakti and a patriotic dance. Finally, everyone enjoyed light refreshments before leaving.
CBP on Storytelling as Pedagogy
A one-day workshop was conducted on 25th January 2024 on the topic Storytelling as Pedagogy. Shri S.K Sripada was the resource person. The workshop began at 9 am and had 40 participants from various schools. It focused on demonstrating how storytelling can effectively convey concepts to children. The resource person covered various aspects of storytelling and assigned the teachers with few activities such as to act a story using the masks/hand puppets of animals etc. Participants found the workshop engaging and informative. The resource person shared many updated information about the national education system. Lunch was served midway through the program, and the workshop concluded at 4:30 pm.
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti
Our Vidyalaya observed the birthday of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on 23rd January 2024. The programme started with Mangalacharan and floral tribute to Netaji's portrait. Richa Didi delivered the keynote speech highlighting the significance of Netaji's contribution to the Indian freedom struggle and his vision for a strong and independent India. The programme also included a oral quiz session conducted by Chandana Didi to promote the legacy of Netaji and inspire the younger generation to follow in his footsteps.
Shree Ram Darbar
On 22nd January 2024, an auspicious event, Shree Ram Darbar took place in our school. The event commenced at 4 pm. The entire school campus was adorned with the glow of diyas. The highlights of the event were the rendition of the Shree Ram strota and the melodious verses of Shreenamramayan. Hanuman chalisa was also chanted by everyone. Approximately 50 individuals took part in the event involving teachers, parents and students. Towards the end of the programme an aarti dedicated to Shree Ram Darbar was performed. It created a serene atmosphere for the gathering. Finally prasad was distributed amongst all attendees.
