2nd October, the birth anniversary of the two most iconic leaders of India, Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri was celebrated in our Vidyalaya. This year for the celebration of Gandhi Jayanti, our honourable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi has announced a campaign and urged the citizens to do shramdaan atleast for one hour. Our school also organized a cleanliness drive for all the members of the Vidyalaya. Alankrita Didi spoke about the inspiring qualities of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri and urged the students to walk in their steps and be the change they want to see in the world. A group of students performed a bhajan creating an environment of devotion. After which three groups of Class IX students enacted street plays on Swacchata on different public places (Bhadoi Panchali, Bokuloni Chariali and NEEPCO Gate). The entire programme was a collective effort to pay tribute to to both the great personalities.

Reach for the Star - Star Gazing
As schools, when we juggle the demands of the curriculum and make decisions on what to include and what to reduce, subjects which open up children's' minds should be high on our agenda.
Star Gazing can be a great activity for promoting good mental health and wellbeing. With this in mind, our Vidyalaya conducted a star gazing activity for Class III on 29.9.2023 with the aim and objectives as follows:
* To reconnect our kids with nature.
* To inspire creativity.
* To provide a sense of wonder and curiosity.
Program included:
* Video presentation on Astronomy.
* Importance of Star gazing and processes.
* Star Gazing dark skies with stargazing application (use of Telescope).
* Visualization of Moon surface.
* Naked eye sky observation etc.
The children enjoyed a lot and said they will cherish these memories for years to come. Everyone is thankful to Smt. Meghna Kakoty Didi, Principal VKV (NEEPCO) Bokuloni for giving this opportunity to explore and experience beyond the classroom.
