Woodcut Printmaking

On January 2, 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya NEEPCO Bokuloni organized a Graphics Art Workshop on Woodcut Printmaking for the students of Classes VIII and IX. This unique initiative, spearheaded by Principal Smt. Meghna Kakoty, provided an excellent platform for students to explore the intricate art of woodcarving and printmaking.

Under the expert guidance of Samar Chiring Sir, the students enthusiastically engaged in carving wooden blocks and creating stunning prints. The activity enhanced their artistic skills, patience, and creativity.




The workshop concluded with a display of the students' impressive creations, reflecting their dedication and talent. The school extends heartfelt thanks to Principal Smt. Meghna Kakoty for this enriching opportunity and to Samar Chiring Sir for his expert mentorship.

Traditional Craft Revived

The weaving classes at VKV NEEPCO Bokuloni have successfully brought students closer to the traditional craft of weaving. Guided by skilled instructors, students have diligently worked to prepare 25 beautifully handwoven gamochas. These gamochas, symbolizing Assam’s rich heritage, are set to be completed by 12th January 2025.

This initiative not only nurtures traditional skills but also fosters creativity and patience among the students. The event highlights the school’s commitment to preserving and promoting cultural values.




Kalpataru Diwas

The auspicious occasion of Kalpataru Diwas was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Bokuloni on 1st January 2025. The event, commemorating the spiritual legacy of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa, was conducted in the Community Hall with the gracious guidance of Principal Smt. Meghna Kakoty.

The program commenced with a solemn Mangalacharan by Ranjit Domai Sir. This was followed by a heartfelt speech on the importance of Kalpataru Diwas by Sudip Bhattacharya Sir, who eloquently elaborated on the historical and spiritual significance of the day.

Adding a melodious touch, the students of Class IV and V presented a soul-stirring Bhajan, filling the atmosphere with divine vibrations. The next segment featured Naina Sharma, a student of Class IX, who delivered an insightful speech on the relevance of Kalpataru Diwas in contemporary times. Her words were both inspiring and thought-provoking, emphasizing the values of compassion and spiritual growth.




The program concluded with another beautiful Bhajan by the students and the recitation of Shanti Path, leaving the audience with a sense of peace and introspection.

Kalpataru Diwas, celebrated annually on 1st January, marks the day when Sri Ramakrishna revealed himself as an incarnation of the divine, bestowing blessings and spiritual enlightenment upon his followers. The event not only honors this profound moment but also inspires individuals to walk the path of righteousness and devotion.

The celebration was meticulously anchored by Sabnam Kotoky Didi, ensuring a seamless flow of events and leaving a lasting impression on all present.
