INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION 2025

 Date: 21st June 2025


On the occasion of
International Yoga Day, VKV NEEPCO Bokuloni organized a well-coordinated celebration in four different locations, ensuring the involvement of students, staff, and local community members.


Yoga in Mud: Baalvatika II and Baalvatika III performed Yoga in Mud guided by Bir Kumar Sir.Practicing yoga in mud offers several benefits for small children. The tactile experience of mud enhances sensory development and encourages exploration, helping children connect with nature. It improves balance and coordination as the uneven surface challenges stability. Mud yoga promotes creativity and imagination through playful poses and movements. The earthy environment can reduce stress and increase relaxation, fostering a sense of calm.



Mudras and Pranayama Practice Session (Classes 1 to 3): This session was guided by Pranshu Didi



In-School Session (Classes 4 to 9): Conducted in the school premises, this session was led by Ranjit Sir and Pranshu Didi. Students enthusiastically participated in yoga asanas, pranayama, and learned about the importance of regular yoga practice for physical and mental well-being.



Community Hall Session (Class 10): Senior students attended a focused session at the Community Hall under the guidance of Sudhir Sir, Chandana Didi, Alankrita Didi and Shabnam Didi. The session emphasized yoga’s role in improving concentration and stress management, especially useful during adolescence.


Outreach at Madhuting Tea Estate: A remarkable community-based yoga event was held at Madhuting Tea Estate at 9 AM. It saw over 68 participants, including local students, villagers, and medical staff.

  • The program promoted yoga awareness among rural populations and integrated school outreach with health awareness.




Mahabirbari Tea Workers’ Session: A special yoga camp for local tea garden workers at Mahabirbari was successfully conducted by VKV, with Bir Kumar Panika Sir as the teacher in-charge. The session aimed at providing physical relaxation and mindfulness techniques to the workers through simple yoga practices.



The event showcased holistic education and community integration as key values of VKV. It emphasized the practical application of yoga for diverse age groups and social sections. The coordination among teachers and active student involvement highlighted the spirit of teamwork and service.

Rabha Divas Celebration

To honour the well known Kalaguru and legendary cultural icon ‘Bishnu Prasad Rabha’, VKV NEEPCO Bokuloni celebrated Rabha Divas on 20th June 2025 with great cultural fervor and enthusiasm. The program titled ‘Moina Mel’ was organized in the NRC Hall, providing a common platform for students to express their respect and admiration for the contributions of Bishnu Prasad Rabha.

  • Participants included students from VKV as well as nearby schools.
  • The event featured soulful renditions of Rabha Sangeet, showcasing the musical richness of Rabha’s compositions.
  • Traditional dance performances on the songs of Bishnu Prasad Rabha were presented, adding color and rhythm to the celebration.
  • The atmosphere was filled with cultural vibrancy, and students portrayed their talents with confidence and grace.
The Rabha Divas celebration served as an excellent opportunity for students to connect with Assam’s cultural heritage. The collaborative participation of nearby schools promoted community bonding and cultural unity. The event also reflected VKV’s commitment to nurturing cultural values alongside academics.

World Environment Day

On June 5, 2025, VKV (NEEPCO), Bokuloni, celebrated World Environment Day with a series of engaging activities. 

The day's events commenced with a special morning assembly. During the assembly, Gopen Sir delivered an insightful speech emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable practices. 

To encourage active participation, a quiz competition was organized for students of classes V to X, conducted by Abhishek Sir, on various environmental topics. 

In the Primary Assembly, a short skit on Paryawaran was presented by a group of  students along with poem recitation by Archita Bezbaruah (Class IV).

Chandana Paktak Didi led a group of students on an educational excursion to the Forest Trail in the Saraipung Range of Dihing Patkai National Park, providing them with first hand experience of the region’s rich biodiversity. 

Additionally, a speech competition for students of classes IX and X was held, sponsored by NEEPCO to express their thoughts and ideas on the theme Beat Plastic Pollution. The celebration of World Environment Day at VKV (NEEPCO), Bokuloni, served as a meaningful initiative to instill environmental consciousness among students, aligning with global efforts to promote sustainability and protect our planet.

VKV Bokuloni Shines at CATC-18 in Kanubari

We are delighted to share the remarkable achievements of our students from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Bokuloni at the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-18) held at Kanubari, Arunachal Pradesh. Competing among 400 cadets, our students made their presence felt with exceptional performances across multiple categories.

Workshop was conducted with class V and class Vll.

Workshop was presided by Smt. Meghna Kakoty, Principal,VKV (NEEPCO) Bokuloni.

Workshop was focused on basic concepts of photography, different parts of camera,types of photography. Some wildlife photography has been displayed. Students were participated in the interaction session.

In concluding session Smt. Meghna Kakoty, Principal,VKV (NEEPCO) Bokuloni encouraged and rewarded Himaghna with a small token of love.

Menstrual Hygiene Day

     VKV (NEEPCO) Bokuloni observes World Menstrual Hygiene Day on 28 May 2025

Girls from classes VI to X participated in the programme. Menstrual Hygiene is crucial not only for personal comfort  but also for preventing infections and maintaining overall wellness. A speech on importance of maintaining proper menstrual hygiene was given by Banashree Boruah Didi  followed by a 'Nukkad Natak' presentation by girls of class VII about  superstitions related with menstruation. After that there was demonstration on properly wrapping pads and its disposal.

Launch of VKV (NEEPCO) Bokuloni Girls Football Team

We're thrilled to announce the launch of the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Bokuloni Girls Football Team! With inspiration drawn from the remarkable Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh, coach Suraj Sonowal, who represented the Assam State Football team from 2015 to 2018, has also played in the Subroto Cup three times.

               Mananeeya Aparna Palkar (Born: 29.7.1954 - 9 March 2025)                                             

Born in  Amaravati district, Maharashtra, Aparna Didi joined Vivekananda Kendra in 1977 after graduation.  She was first posted to VKV Tafrogam, Lohit district, in Arunachal Pradesh. 

She discharged various responsibilities in Arunachal Pradesh including Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra Shiksha Prasar Vibhag and Prakalp Sangathak, Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti till 2002. 

In 2003 Didi was posted to Headquarters at Kanyakumari  to serve as Akhil Bharatiya Vyavastha Pramukh with additional responsibility of taking care of day-to-day administrative matters at HQ: a responsibility which she discharged with her characteristic meticulousness.

In 2019, Didi was again posted as Secretary, VKVAPT where she served till June 2023. Thereafter, due to health constraints, Didi relocated to Kanyakumari in August 2023. 

Didi was a voracious reader and deeply interested in gardening and devotional and patriotic songs. 

Didi had fallen a few days ago and was hospitalized.

Radio Day Observation

Date: 13th February 2025

On the occasion of World Radio Day, VKV NEEPCO Bokuloni conducted a special program to highlight the significance of the day. The event commenced with an insightful speech on the importance of Radio Day, covering its relevance in India, Assam, and the world. The speech also traced the history of the radio, sharing interesting facts about its invention and evolution. Emphasis was laid on the need for technological advancements in radio broadcasting to attract more listeners in the modern era.

To enrich the program, a melodious song was presented by Emon Bhagwati Didi adding a cultural touch to the celebration.

Additionally, Jyotsna Didi elaborated on the significance of Mahakumbh, providing valuable insights into this grand spiritual event. The wall magazine on Mahakumbh was displayed and explained by Jyotsna Didi, highlighting key aspects of the Amrit Kumbh story. The discussion included the importance of Mahakumbh, a description of the four pilgrimage sites, and fascinating facts about the four sacred rivers associated with the festival.

The event successfully educated and engaged the students, fostering awareness about the role of the radio and the cultural significance of Mahakumbh. It was a momentous occasion that reflected the commitment of VKV NEEPCO Bokuloni towards holistic education and cultural appreciation.

Class V Puppet Show Activity ( English)

Class V recently engaged in a creative Puppet Show activity based on their English chapters.  The students were divided into 6 groups, each presenting a unique and imaginative interpretation of their assigned chapters. The event showcased the students' enthusiasm, teamwork, and creativity. The performances were both entertaining and insightful, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.

World Wetlands Day

Saraswati Puja

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Bokuloni celebrated Saraswati Puja on 3rd February 2025 with great enthusiasm and devotion. The event was organized under the able guidance of our esteemed Principal, Smt. Meghna Kakoty Didi, and witnessed the active participation of approximately 1200 people, including students, teachers, parents, and well-wishers.

The celebration commenced at 7:00 a.m. with the Puja starting at 7:30 a.m. This was followed by the Hawan at 9:10 a.m., performed collectively by teachers, parents, and Class X students, which added a spiritual essence to the occasion. Pushpanjali was offered at 9:45 a.m., allowing everyone to seek blessings from Goddess Saraswati.




The distribution of Prasad began at 10:30 a.m., and Khichdi was served to all attendees from 11:30 a.m. onwards. The entire event concluded gracefully by 3:00 p.m.



The success of the celebration was made possible by the tireless efforts of the teaching and non-teaching staff, with valuable assistance from some parents. The preparation and execution of all responsibilities, from decoration to Khichdi preparation and distribution, were carried out seamlessly, ensuring a memorable experience for everyone present.

This auspicious occasion not only highlighted the cultural and spiritual values of our institution but also fostered a sense of togetherness among the school community.
