Saraswati Puja

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Bokuloni celebrated Saraswati Puja on 3rd February 2025 with great enthusiasm and devotion. The event was organized under the able guidance of our esteemed Principal, Smt. Meghna Kakoty Didi, and witnessed the active participation of approximately 1200 people, including students, teachers, parents, and well-wishers.

The celebration commenced at 7:00 a.m. with the Puja starting at 7:30 a.m. This was followed by the Hawan at 9:10 a.m., performed collectively by teachers, parents, and Class X students, which added a spiritual essence to the occasion. Pushpanjali was offered at 9:45 a.m., allowing everyone to seek blessings from Goddess Saraswati.




The distribution of Prasad began at 10:30 a.m., and Khichdi was served to all attendees from 11:30 a.m. onwards. The entire event concluded gracefully by 3:00 p.m.



The success of the celebration was made possible by the tireless efforts of the teaching and non-teaching staff, with valuable assistance from some parents. The preparation and execution of all responsibilities, from decoration to Khichdi preparation and distribution, were carried out seamlessly, ensuring a memorable experience for everyone present.

This auspicious occasion not only highlighted the cultural and spiritual values of our institution but also fostered a sense of togetherness among the school community.

Matri Puja and Utsarga Samaroh

On January 31, 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, NEEPCO Bokuloni, organized the Matri Puja and Utsarga Samaroh to honor the spiritual and cultural significance of the bond between students and their mothers, alongside bidding a solemn farewell to the outgoing Class X students. The event took place in the Community Hall under the guidance of the principal, Smt. Meghna Kakoty, and other esteemed faculty members.

Programme Overview

The event commenced at 11:45 a.m. with students arriving at 11:15 a.m., followed by their mothers at 12:40 p.m.. The reporting time for the organizing team was set at 9:30 a.m. to ensure seamless preparation.

The day began with the chanting of the Mangala Charan at 12:00 noon, invoking divine blessings. This was followed by an insightful explanation of the objectives and significance of the occasion by Sanjay Sir, emphasizing the importance of gratitude and the parent-child relationship. He also introduced the meaning of Utsarga Shlokas to the attendees.

Special contributions included:

  • Explanation in Hindi by Sanjay Sir and in English by the principal, Smt. Meghana Kakoty Didi, reflecting on the cultural and moral essence of the puja.
  • Musical performances led by Ranjit Sir, adding a harmonious touch to the event.

At 12:25 p.m., students performed the traditional Pushpanjali and Deep Prajjwalan, symbolizing respect and devotion towards their mothers. The event proceeded with Shanti Path and the commencement of Ganesh Puja at 1:00 p.m., followed by the much-awaited Matri Puja at 1:10 p.m.

                                             

Experience Sharing

The highlight of the event was the heartfelt experience-sharing session.

  • At 1:45 p.m., mothers shared their emotions and experiences, acknowledging the growth and transformation of their children.
  • Students and teachers also reflected on their journey and cherished memories at 2:00 p.m., creating an atmosphere of gratitude and emotional bonding.


The program concluded with a Shanti Path and the Kendra Prayer at 2:20 p.m., leaving a lasting impact on all participants.

The Matri Puja and Utsarga Samaroh 2024-25 at VKV NEEPCO Bokuloni was a culturally enriching experience. It reinforced the importance of values, respect, and the unbreakable bond between children and their parents. The event not only fostered emotional ties but also instilled a deep sense of responsibility and gratitude among the students as they prepared to embark on a new phase of life.

76th Republic Day Celebration

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Bokuloni celebrated the 76th Republic Day with grandeur and patriotism on 26thy January 2025. The event commenced at 7:30 a.m. on the school ground with the flag hoisting ceremony, conducted by the Principal, Smt. Meghna Kakoty, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem.

The celebration began with a speech by the Principal, highlighting the importance of the day and the values of the Indian Constitution. This was followed by the chanting of the Swadesha Mantra by Shubhashish Changmai, invoking a sense of national pride. The students then presented a patriotic song, which filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm and reverence.



The program continued with a motivational speech by Rijuman Dutta and another heartfelt patriotic song by the student. And then there was a Band Display and NCC Girls marched togetherThe school community concluded the event with sweet distribution to all attendees, leaving everyone with a feeling of unity and joy.

NEEPCO Program Highlights
Simultaneously, a special program was organized by NEEPCO, where the NCC Girls of VKV participated in a march alongside CRPF personnel, showcasing their discipline and dedication. The flag hoisting ceremony was performed by the Head of Project (HOP) of AGBP NEEPCO, Sri. Opang Ering. In his address, he emphasized the significance of the day and encouraged the students to uphold the values of democracy.



The HOP also awarded a citation to the NCC Girls, acknowledging their remarkable contribution and dedication. Sageeta Ma’am then introduced Anindita Borah, a student of VKV, who took over as the anchor for the rest of the program.

The cultural segment featured a melodious song presentation by the students, followed by a soulful performance by Ranjit Domai Sir. The students also delivered an enthralling dance performance, adding vibrancy to the celebration.


The day’s events concluded on a positive note with a sense of pride and patriotism resonating among all participants. Both the school and NEEPCO programs were a resounding success, reflecting the spirit of the Republic Day celebration.

Shilpi Diwas

On January 17, 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya NEEPCO Bokuloni observed Shilpi Diwas, paying tribute to the legendary Assamese artist Rupkonwar Jyoti Prasad Agarwala. The program commenced with three Omkars followed by a Mangalacharan, setting a serene and spiritual tone for the event.


The significance of the day was eloquently presented by Richa Gogoi Didi, highlighting the contributions of Jyoti Prasad Agarwala to Assamese culture and literature. This was followed by a soulful rendition of a Jyoti Sangeet, performed by Aradhya Priyambada Pathak of Class IV, captivating everyone with her melodious voice.

The event concluded with the Shanti Path. The program reflected the cultural richness and values that VKV upholds, ensuring that the students remain connected to their roots while fostering artistic appreciation.

Parakram Diwas (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti)

On the 23rd of January, 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, NEEPCO Bokuloni observed the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, celebrated as Parakram Diwas. The program was held during the morning assembly under the guidance of Principal Smt. Meghna Kakoty and in the esteemed presence of RAO Su. Pranoti Roy. The students were deeply inspired and enthusiastic about the event.




The event commenced with the chanting of three Omkara , followed by Mangalacharan. The NCC boys and girls of the school performed a disciplined and vibrant march past, showcasing their dedication and unity. A pledge was taken to honor Netaji's ideals and values, resonating the importance of patriotism and courage.




The significance of the day was articulated beautifully by Anindita of Class IX, highlighting Netaji's life and vision. Students from different classes contributed cultural elements to the event:

Poem recitations:

o Bengali: Anushka (Class VI)

o Assamese: Annusriya (Class VII)

Patriotic song: Led by the NCC girls' group

Karate display: A captivating performance demonstrated the physical strength and discipline fostered among the students.




The event concluded with the Shanti Path and the National Anthem, leaving the audience inspired and reflective of Netaji’s unwavering dedication to the nation.

The participation of the Band Boys and the vibrant NCC Girls’ display brought life to the celebration, making it a memorable and impactful occasion for everyone.

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti and Annual Day Celebration 2025

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya NEEPCO Bokuloni celebrated the auspicious occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti along with the Annual Day (2024-25) with great enthusiasm and fervor on 12th January 2025. The event was graced by the presence of parents, students, and staff, making it a memorable occasion.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing enlightenment, followed by the recitation of Mangalacharan to invoke blessings. The audience was then mesmerized by the rendition of Vande Mataram, performed by the students, which filled the atmosphere with patriotic fervor.

The event started with the Pushpanjali offering by parents and students as a mark of reverence to Swami Vivekananda. 

A melodious song dedicated to Swami Vivekananda was presented by a group of students, paying tribute to the great philosopher and spiritual leader. The celebration also included the much-awaited CCA Prize Distribution Ceremony, recognizing the excellence and achievements of students in co-curricular activities. Additionally, prizes were distributed to the outgoing Class X students and awards for the Best Class (Junior Class  IV and Senior Class X ) were presented.

The highlight of the event was a captivating drama performed by Class VIII students, which drew loud applause from the audience. The programme also featured a motivational speech by the Principal, Smt. Meghna Kakoty, who highlighted the significance of skill development and introduced the concept of handloom Gamosa, crafted by the students, as part of the curriculum. She also announced plans to include skill development training in the upcoming session.

The celebration was a true reflection of the school’s commitment to fostering the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and promoting holistic development among students. The solemn occasion was brought to a close with the chanting of Shanti Path.

Community Outreach Programme on Samarth Bharat Parva and Magh Bihu Celebration

On the occasion of Samarth Bharat Parva, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya NEEPCO Bokuloni organized a Community Outreach Programme, which coincided with the joyous celebration of Magh Bihu. The event, held on 11th January 2024, brought together students of Class X, their parents, and the entire school staff in a spirit of community and festivity.

The outreach programme was aimed at fostering a sense of togetherness, cultural appreciation, and social responsibility. The celebration began with a heartfelt address by the Principal, who highlighted the significance of Samarth Bharat Parva and the values it promotes in strengthening the nation.

The event then shifted to the vibrant celebration of Magh Bihu, a festival that marks the harvest season in Assam.  



This unique blend of community outreach and cultural celebration created a platform for meaningful interaction between parents, students, and teachers, while also encouraging a deeper understanding of Assamese traditions.

The programme concluded with a message of gratitude and a pledge to uphold the values of harmony and community service, which lie at the heart of Samarth Bharat Parva. It was a memorable event that not only celebrated culture but also strengthened the bond within the school community.


Samarth Bharat Parva: Creative Contributions by Students

As part of the ongoing celebrations of Samarth Bharat Parva, the students of Classes VIII and IX of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya NEEPCO Bokuloni showcased their talent and creativity by creating three remarkable projects under the guidance of their respective teachers. These projects reflect their understanding of various subjects and their dedication to promoting knowledge and cultural pride:

History Display: Forest Society and Colonialism

Guided by Parishmita Nath, this detailed board encapsulates key aspects of colonial policies and their impact on forests and tribal societies. The visually engaging presentation highlights significant events, laws, and personalities associated with the theme.


English Display: Indian-Origin Words in English

Supervised by Emon Bhagwati, this project focuses on Indian words that have influenced the English language. It educates viewers on the Indian cultural contributions to global vocabulary with beautifully illustrated examples.


Assamese Grammar Book : 

Under the mentorship of Richa Gogoi, students created a meticulously crafted Assamese grammar book. The colorful, illustrative design encourages learning while preserving linguistic heritage.

These initiatives align with the ethos of Samarth Bharat Parva in fostering knowledge, creativity, and cultural awareness among students. The dedication and effort displayed by both students and teachers stand as a testament to the school's commitment to holistic education.

Felicitation of Shri Ranjit Domai

The felicitation took place during the 11th Bhadoi Regional Akhanda Bhagavata Path and Interpretation Ceremony held at Padumoni Barnamghar from January 2 to January 10, 2025.


Shri Ranjit Domai, a renowned music artist from Assam, was honored for his dedication, honesty, and expertise in his work. He has significantly enhanced the cultural heritage through his exceptional knowledge and skills as a music instructor. His active role in promoting literature, music, and arts aligns with the spiritual values cherished by the event.

The committee emphasized that evaluating Shri.Domai's contributions is beyond their capacity, but they take pride in celebrating his achievements. His social commitment and excellence are sources of pride and motivation for the community.

The felicitation concluded with prayers for Shri. Domai's success, well-being, and continued contribution to society.

Woodcut Printmaking

On January 2, 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya NEEPCO Bokuloni organized a Graphics Art Workshop on Woodcut Printmaking for the students of Classes VIII and IX. This unique initiative, spearheaded by Principal Smt. Meghna Kakoty, provided an excellent platform for students to explore the intricate art of woodcarving and printmaking.

Under the expert guidance of Shri Samar Chiring Sir, the students enthusiastically engaged in carving wooden blocks and creating stunning prints. The activity enhanced their artistic skills, patience, and creativity.


The workshop concluded with a display of the students' impressive creations, reflecting their dedication and talent. The school extends heartfelt thanks to Principal Smt. Meghna Kakoty for this enriching opportunity and to Samar Chiring Sir for his expert mentorship.

Traditional Craft Revived

The weaving classes at VKV NEEPCO Bokuloni have successfully brought students closer to the traditional craft of weaving. Guided by skilled instructors, students have diligently worked to prepare 25 beautifully handwoven gamochas. These gamochas, symbolizing Assam’s rich heritage, are set to be completed by 12th January 2025.

This initiative not only nurtures traditional skills but also fosters creativity and patience among the students. The event highlights the school’s commitment to preserving and promoting cultural values.


Kalpataru Diwas

The auspicious occasion of Kalpataru Diwas was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Bokuloni on 1st January 2025. The event, commemorating the spiritual legacy of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa, was conducted in the Community Hall with the gracious guidance of Principal Smt. Meghna Kakoty.

The program commenced with a solemn Mangalacharan by Shri Ranjit Domai Sir. This was followed by a heartfelt speech on the importance of Kalpataru Diwas by Shri Sudip Bhattacharya Sir, who eloquently elaborated on the historical and spiritual significance of the day.

Adding a melodious touch, the students of Class IV and V presented a soul-stirring Bhajan, filling the atmosphere with divine vibrations. The next segment featured Naina Sharma, a student of Class IX, who delivered an insightful speech on the relevance of Kalpataru Diwas in contemporary times. Her words were both inspiring and thought-provoking, emphasizing the values of compassion and spiritual growth.




The program concluded with another beautiful Bhajan by the students and the recitation of Shanti Path, leaving the audience with a sense of peace and introspection.

Kalpataru Diwas, celebrated annually on 1st January, marks the day when Sri Ramakrishna revealed himself as an incarnation of the divine, bestowing blessings and spiritual enlightenment upon his followers. The event not only honors this profound moment but also inspires individuals to walk the path of righteousness and devotion.

The celebration was meticulously anchored by Smt. Sabnam Kotoky Didi, ensuring a seamless flow of events and leaving a lasting impression on all present.
