INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION 2025

On the occasion of
International Yoga Day, VKV NEEPCO Bokuloni organized a well-coordinated celebration in four different locations, ensuring the involvement of students, staff, and local community members.


Yoga in Mud: Baalvatika II and Baalvatika III performed Yoga in Mud guided by Bir Kumar Sir.Practicing yoga in mud offers several benefits for small children. The tactile experience of mud enhances sensory development and encourages exploration, helping children connect with nature. It improves balance and coordination as the uneven surface challenges stability. Mud yoga promotes creativity and imagination through playful poses and movements. The earthy environment can reduce stress and increase relaxation, fostering a sense of calm.



Mudras and Pranayama Practice Session (Classes 1 to 3): This session was guided by Pranshu Didi



In-School Session (Classes 4 to 9): Conducted in the school premises, this session was led by Ranjit Sir and Pranshu Didi. Students enthusiastically participated in yoga asanas, pranayama, and learned about the importance of regular yoga practice for physical and mental well-being.



Community Hall Session (Class 10): Senior students attended a focused session at the Community Hall under the guidance of Sudhir Sir, Chandana Didi, Alankrita Didi and Shabnam Didi. The session emphasized yoga’s role in improving concentration and stress management, especially useful during adolescence.


Outreach at Madhuting Tea Estate: A remarkable community-based yoga event was held at Madhuting Tea Estate at 9 AM. It saw over 68 participants, including local students, villagers, and medical staff.

  • The program promoted yoga awareness among rural populations and integrated school outreach with health awareness.




Mahabirbari Tea Workers’ Session: A special yoga camp for local tea garden workers at Mahabirbari was successfully conducted by VKV, with Bir Kumar Panika Sir as the teacher in-charge. The session aimed at providing physical relaxation and mindfulness techniques to the workers through simple yoga practices.



The event showcased holistic education and community integration as key values of VKV. It emphasized the practical application of yoga for diverse age groups and social sections. The coordination among teachers and active student involvement highlighted the spirit of teamwork and service.
