VKV NEEPCO Bokuloni hosted a Capacity Building
Programme (CBP) on the theme “Promoting Mental Health and Awareness Among
Students”, organized by the CBSE Headquarters / Centre of Excellence, Guwahati.
The session aimed to equip educators with knowledge and practical strategies to
support student well-being and create a mentally healthy school environment.
The programme was conducted by Smt. Rita Kamalapuri,
Principal of Assam Public School, Duliajan, a respected educational leader with
vast experience in student mental health and well-being.
Highlights of the Programme:
- The
session began with a prayer and chanting of three Omkaras, setting a calm
and focused tone for the day.
- Ms.
Kamalapuri shared insightful strategies for early identification of mental
health challenges and the role of teachers in building emotional
resilience among students.
- Educators
explored techniques to promote empathy, communication, and trust within
the classroom environment.
- The
session encouraged schools to integrate mental well-being into daily
practices and curriculum.
Approximately 40 teachers from VKV Bokuloni and Assam
Height Gurukul School, Moranhat actively participated in the programme. The
resource person was felicitated with a hand-woven Assamese traditional Gamucha,
crafted by VKV Bokuloni students, as a token of gratitude and cultural pride.
The programme offered a valuable opportunity for
educators to deepen their understanding of student mental health and reinforced
the school's commitment to nurturing holistic development — academic,
emotional, and social — in every learner.
VKV NEEPCO Bokuloni continues to promote mental health awareness and stands dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students
