Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO), Bokuloni organized a Janmashtami celebration for the academic session 2026-27 at the Community Hall on 4th September, 2026. The programme was hosted for the primary section, covering classes Balvatika I to V, and was anchored by Jyotsna Srivastava. The celebration brought together devotional performances, enactments, and a friendly competition to mark the significance of the occasion for the young students.
The programme commenced with Mangalacharan, an invocation presented by anchor Jyotsna Srivastava, setting a devotional tone for the celebration.
The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was performed by the Principal, marking the formal inauguration of the event.
Prapti Borpujari addressed the gathering on the significance of Janmasthami, explaining the relevance and importance of the occasion to the students.
Students of Classes IV and V presented a Krishna Bhajan, guided by Ranjit Domai, adding a devotional musical element to the programme.
A presentation on Nandotsav was enacted by the students of Class II under the guidance of Prapti Borpujari.
Students of Class III performed an enactment of Kaliya Daman, guided by Priyanka Devi, depicting this well-known episode associated with Lord Krishna.
The programme concluded with the ever-popular ‘Go As You Like’ fancy dress competition. For Balvatika I, the participants were judged by Prapti Borpujari and Samar Chiring, while for Balvatika II, the judges were Pranshumoni Borah and Priyanka Devi. The competition allowed the youngest learners to creatively present themselves through costume and expression.

participation from students of Balvatika I to Class V. Through devotional
recitations, musical presentations, enactments, and the fancy dress
competition, the programme provided students a meaningful and engaging
introduction to the significance of the festival, while also nurturing their
confidence and creative expression.
