Observation of Asom Divas at VKV NEEPCO Bokuloni
On December 2, 2024, VKV NEEPCO Bokuloni
observed Asom Divas during the morning assembly with great enthusiasm and
reverence. The event commemorated the legacy of Swargadeo Sukapha, the founder
of the Ahom dynasty, who laid the foundation of Assam’s rich cultural heritage.
The program began with a soulful rendition
of a song dedicated to Sukapha by Aradhya Priyambada Pathak of Class IV,
captivating everyone with her melodious voice. Following this, Richa Gogoi Didi
delivered an insightful speech on the significance of Asom Divas. She
beautifully highlighted the historical importance of Sukapha and the origin of
the name "Assam," capturing the essence of unity and harmony he
brought to the state.
This observance served as a meaningful
opportunity for students and teachers to reflect on their cultural roots and
celebrate the unity in diversity that defines Assam.
