Shree Krishna Janmashtami

This Janmashtami on 26th August 2024, we commit ourselves to the noble act of Gau  Sewa. By doing so, we can experience the joy and blessings that come from serving these sacred animals, just as Lord Krishna did.

On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, our Vidyalaya embraced the spirit of devotion and compassion through the noble act of Gau Sewa. This initiative not only celebrated the birth of Lord Krishna but also embodied his timeless teachings of love, humility, and service to all living beings. Under the guidance of our esteemed Principal, Smt. Meghna Kakoty, the entire school community came together to participate in this sacred occasion. Students, teachers, offered their care and support to the cows, symbolizing their respect for these sacred animals that hold a special place in our culture and tradition.

Following the assembly, the participants engaged in Gau Sewa activities. They fed the cows with love and care, and ensured their well-being. This act of kindness and service allowed the students to experience firsthand  joy and blessings that come from serving and protecting all forms of life, just as Lord Krishna did during his time on earth.

The day’s activities not only enriched the spiritual understanding of the students but also instilled in them a renewed sense of responsibility towards the environment and all living creatures. The experience reinforced the values of empathy, compassion, and selfless service, which are central to the teachings of Lord Krishna.

As the celebrations concluded, a sense of fulfillment and peace prevailed among all participants. The commitment to Gau Sewa made this Janmashtami a truly meaningful and memorable occasion for the VKV NEEPCO Bokuloni family.

May this spirit of service and devotion continue to inspire us all in the years to come.

May  our celebrations be filled with love, devotion, and a renewed sense of responsibility towards all forms of life.

Jai shree Krishna.

Rakshabandhan

Our Vidyalaya celebrated Rakshabandhan and Sanskrit Divas with great zeal and enthusiasm, showcasing the vibrant spirit of Indian traditions. Under the guidance of Principal Smt. Meghna Kakoty, the event began with a special morning assembly, where students and teachers gathered to mark the significance of this auspicious occasion.

The celebration commenced with a symbolic gesture where girls tied Rakhi on the wrists of the boys, followed by the tying of Rakhi to the statue of Swami Vivekananda , signifying the bond of protection and the values that he stood for. Class VII students then took the tradition beyond the school premises by visiting the Raj Gharali Tea Estate, where they tied Rakhis to the workers, expressing their gratitude and respect. Simultaneously, another group of students visited the NEEPCO office and the hospital, extending the Raksha Bandhan celebration to staff members and healthcare workers, acknowledging their dedication and service to the community.

Students from classes Balvatika I to X actively participated in crafting handmade Rakhis using decorative threads, stars, mirrors, pearls, and flowers. These beautifully crafted Rakhis were later exchanged among peers while chanting the ‘Raksha Sutra Mantra,’ a prayer for protection and well-being.

The teachers took the opportunity to educate the students about the cultural and historical significance of Rakshabandhan, emphasizing the importance of brotherhood, unity, and respect in Indian society.

Smt. Meghna Kakoty, Principal, VKV (NEEPCO) Bokuloni praised the students' creativity and enthusiasm, appreciating their active participation in the event. The day concluded with the distribution of sweets, bringing a sweet end to the heartwarming celebration.
